River to Sea 
Preserve Trail Walk

The GTM Research Reserve leads a walk on the wooded trail to the Matanzas River at the River-to-Sea Preserve. An interpretive guide will talk about old Florida's moss-laden trees, seasonal flowering shrubs and Native American lore, including how they used various plants for food, beverage and medicine. The event is free, but online registration is required. 9805 N. Ocean Shore Blvd., Marineland. St. Augustine 
Easter Parade

Starting at 9 a.m., this 2nd oldest Easter Parade in the US, also known as Parada de los Caballos y Coches (Parade of Horses and Carriages), features marching bands, floats, drill teams, the Easter Bunny, clowns, the Royal Family, Imperial Storm Troopers, and the city’s carriage horses wearing their Easter hats. www.oldestcityeaster.org

Beach Exploration 
at GTM 

Join GTM Research Reserve docents from 9-11 a.m. for a beach walk! You will learn about the animals that call the beach their home, as well as seashells and other interesting facts. This is a “Beaches 101” experience that the entire family will enjoy. The hike will begin at the Visitor Center where you will learn about the different habitats on our beautiful seashore. The group will then walk across the street to the beach for this salty adventure! Parking for this event is located in front of the visitor center. The Taste of 
St. Augustine 2022

Make plans to join us for the 25th annual Taste of St. Augustine at The Amp St. Augustine. Highlights the culinary heritage and culture of St. Johns County by showcasing new restaurants and established favorites. Sample our local cuisine and learn about our area’s food culture! Admission: $5 Entry + $1 “Taste Tickets” to sample the delicious food. Children are admitted free, there’s a free children’s area with fun activities such as arts and crafts. Parking at The Amp is free and there’s a free shuttle from RB Hunt Elementary School to The Amp and parking is also available at the Elks Lodge just south of The Amp. Come enjoy the great food and live music! Restaurants and bands will be announced soon. Don’t forget to vote for your favorite vendor to win the People’s Choice Award! And, know that the proceeds from the Taste allow EPIC to continue offering mental health and substance use counseling in our community.

GTM Beach Clean Up 

GTM North Beach Walkover looking north. Admission: Free 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Join Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTM) Enjoy coastal views while helping remove debris and microplastics from the beach. GTM Rangers will supply gloves and trash bags at 9:30 a.m. at a different meeting location each month. Please visit www.gtmnerr.org/events

Songwriters Festival 

At this festival, songwriters from Nashville perform and share the stories behind their songs. Enjoy an evening of popular music. Plus, there will be local food trucks and vendors. The event will also have a Kids Corner. The show is from 5-10 p.m., and gates open at 4 p.m. at Nocatee. General admission is $25.
