Filipino-American History Month at
1912 Ocean Bar & Rooftop in Ponte Vedre

In celebration of Filipino-American History Month, 1912 Ocean Bar & Rooftop is hosting a one-night-only Taste of the Philippines – 1912 Edition culinary experience on Sunday, October 19, that brings the rich flavors and traditions of the Philippines to life. 

Guests will enjoy a Kamayan-style dinner—a traditional feast served family-style on banana leaves, meant to be eaten with your hands. The evening’s menu features classics like Lechon Pork Belly, Chicken BBQ Skewers, Pork Lumpia, Vegetable Pancit, Garlic Coconut Fried Rice, Sinigang Garlic Butter Shrimp, and Filipino sweet treats, alongside fresh fruits and accoutrements.

The night kicks off with a “Happy Half Hour” from 5:30–6:00 PM, featuring a signature Filipino cocktail and passed street food, followed by the full Kamayan dinner from 6:00–8:00 PM. Tickets are $85++ per person for adults, children ages 9-12 are $30++, inclusive of iced tea and coffee, with signature cocktails available for purchase. Reservations are available through OpenTable. 
This immersive dining experience offers an authentic taste of Filipino heritage and a unique way to celebrate Filipino-American History Month here in Ponte Vedra Beach.

November 15 | Inaugural 5K Race to Benefit the Mike Freeland Foundation

Run or walk for a hero at the inaugural Race to Benefit the Mike Freeland Foundation. Held at the Winston Family YMCA (221 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville), the 5K race kicks off at 8:30 a.m., followed by a fun run at 9:30 a.m. This event honors Mike Freeland, a Jacksonville firefighter who passed away in the line of duty.
