Walking into a beautifully designed space, its easy to immediately beginning to imagine what your own home could become. That is the idea behind Closet Factory Jacksonville’s new Central St. Johns design studio, a place created to showcase closets, and inspire an entirely new way of thinking about the spaces in which we live.

For Co-Owners and locals  Jill and Sierra Flores, opening the new studio in Central St. Johns was both a homecoming of sorts and a look toward the future. As new neighborhoods continue to take shape throughout the county, the company wanted to be closer to the homeowners building lives, and homes, here. “We wanted to position the showroom where the market was expanding rather than where it had already matured,” Jill explains. The location is surrounded by new construction and growing communities filled with homeowners thinking about what comes next after move-in: the pantry that actually accommodates the way a family cooks, a home office that makes Monday mornings a little more civilized, a garage where everything finally has a place, or a closet that makes getting dressed feel decidedly less ordinary.

​The St. Johns Showroom and Design Studio gives local homeowners a place to see the possibilities before committing to them. The first impression is intentionally welcoming. They wanted it to feel like walking into the home of that impossibly stylish neighbor, the one whose spaces always seem beautifully put together, yet completely livable.Visitors can touch finishes, experience cabinetry at full scale and see firsthand how thoughtful details change a space. And perhaps most importantly, they discover that the name Closet Factory tells only part of the story. Yes, there are closets. Beautiful ones. But there are also pantries, home offices, garages, entertainment walls, wall beds and built-ins, along with some more unexpected possibilities.
“We’ve created spaces like a hidden speakeasy, wall beds that completely transform a room, and double home offices designed so two people can comfortably work in the same space,” the team says. “Every home and every family is different, so we get to be creative and design spaces around how people actually live.”

That philosophy is best illustrated by one of the studio's standout displays: an entertainment area anchored by a fireplace (on the cover). It is a natural first stop on a tour because it challenges the notion that organization is only about putting things away. Here, cabinetry and storage become architecture, framing a gathering place designed around family and connection. “It represents the heart of the home, a place where family and friends naturally come together,” Sierra explains. “It’s a great example of what we hope to create for our clients: spaces that are not only functional and beautiful, but become part of the moments and memories that make a house feel like home.” Storage is no longer hiding in the background. It has become part of the design story.

Designed Around You
The design process begins with a conversation with your designer. How do you actually use this room? What drives you crazy about it? What do you reach for every morning? What do you never seem to have enough room for? What would make life easier? Clients don’t need to arrive with Pinterest boards, measurements and a fully realized vision. In fact, Closet Factory’s advice is quite the opposite: don’t feel as though you need to have everything figured out before you begin.
The designer’s job is to listen, ask questions and translate the imagination into a space that works. Through 3D renderings, clients can watch their ideas begin to take shape, exploring layouts, finishes and features alongside their designer and making adjustments in real time. The process is collaborative and customized.  “Our goal is to create a beautiful space that feels as though it was made just for you, because it was,” the team says.
