Summer is a critical out-of-school time when children benefit from enriched learning and unique adventures. That’s why YMCA camps offer activities that engage both the body and mind. Our goals are to eliminate summer learning loss, nurture self-confidence and sound values, and encourage healthy lifestyle habits. Plus, children make new friends along the way. Campers identified as non-swimmers or poor swimmers receive free lessons throughout the summer. The Y also offers financial assistance to ensure that all kids get the chance to experience camp. Visit FirstCoastYMCA.org or call 904.265.1775 for more details

Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics
6867 Southpoint Drive North, Suite 101/ Jacksonville, FL 32216 904.333.1151
Our high quality program provides instruction in a low student-to-therapist ratio, with behavior therapists trained in the methodologies and best practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This year’s summer program incorporates Brooks Rehabilitation’s pediatric recreation program, which focuses on providing recreational activities that foster a healthy lifestyle in children with developmental disabilities. Brooks Rehabilitation staff will facilitate wellness and fitness activities both onsite at Keystone as well as at nearby community spaces.
Your child will be assigned after an assessment by our clinical team to one of two tracks based on clinical need and best fit. The first track will be our traditional social skills track that primarily focuses on working in groups with peers on activities and projects, social play, independent play, group games, appropriate social interaction with others, as well as fine motor and gross motor tasks. The second track this year will be a vocational skills/self-help track. This track will focus on establishing hygiene skills, independent living skills, job readiness skills and safety skills in a structured group format.
Both tracks will participate in community outings as well as fun activities throughout the week tailored specifically to the skills they are working on throughout the summer
