How often is SJM published?
St. Johns Magazine is published every month of the year.  

When does it usually arrive in Homes?
SJM typically arrives in mailboxes on the 4-5th of the month.  


Do you offer any special editions that target my client base?
Since we are hyperlocal, businesses who wish to reach affluent customer base in northern St. Johns with St. Johns Magazine. You can customize your messaging by participating in our sponsored stories and themed special advertising sections featured in every issue.  Each monthly issue has a theme:  January - Celebrating Small Business; February - Health and Wellness; March - Real Estate; April - Special Needs Awareness: May - Home Improvements; June - The Pet Issue; July - Best of St. Johns; August - Back to School; September - Guide to New Home Communities; October - The Art Issue; November - Food & Wine; December - Holiday Fun Guide.

Are there opportunities for editorial about my business?
Yes! Most of our business stories are sponsored stories paid for by our advertisers.  We only offer earned-media for local events, charities and community news.

How do I get on the front cover?
You secure a spot when it’s available. If you are interested in a cover story, you should secure the issue you prefer asap because these spots sell out first.  Also, you can be put on a waiting list for earlier issues in case something opens up sooner. 

Who reads the magazine? And where can I get a copy?
Residents read our magazines because our primary distribution (99%) is direct mail to their homes by USPS. If you live on our mailing route, you will receive one at your home too.  We also distribute a small amount of magazines to high traffic locations throughout St. Johns - for a list please review here.  If you need a copy to review, we’ll happily mail you one. You may also view a digital copy of current and past issues on our website www.stjohnsmag.com

Is St. Johns Magazine also digital?  
Yes while we deliver a high quality print publication some of our monthly content is published on our website as well, where it remains as a local community resource connecting readers with local businesses and events.

Do you have a one issue rate?
Yes. 

Is it extra for the photo shoot for the content ad?
No.  

Can I choose where my ad is positioned?
For an additional 15% fee you may choose and secure a particular ad spot in the magazine so long as it is available. 

Can I get help designing the ad?
Yes, we offer skilled design services that can replicate your branding or create something fresh and new for you. 

Am I able to change out my ad occasionally and if so is there a fee?
You may make changes to your ad every issue and there is no fee. 

If I sign up to run 6 ads, do I have to pay for all of them up front?
No, we allow per issue billing. Billing occurs on the 1st of the month prior to publication.  We offer a discount of 15% if prepaid for a full year and 10% if prepaid for six months.

Can I cancel my contract early? 
You may cancel your contract early. We require notice 30 days in advance of the next advertising deadline.  If cancellation notice exceeds this date, the next advertisement to be published as originally scheduled. Cancellation will then be effective with the following issue. 

Who Owns St. Johns Magazine?

St. Johns Magazine is not part of a big franchise or national company - it is a small locally owned business and the owner, Debbie Gaylord, lives and works in Northern St. Johns. Personal care about your design and marketing ideas is give directly by Debbie to each of the advertisers in St. Johns Magazine.
